BREED INFORMATION

​The Maine Coon is a breed of medium-long haired cat that originated in the state of Maine in the United States. This rustic-looking cat is characterized by its large size, plumed tail, square muzzle, plumed ears and long hair. It is to this day one of the largest breeds of domestic cat, along with the Savannah, a breed native to the United States resulting from the crossing with the Serval, an African wild feline. The Maine Coon is also the oldest natural breed in North America.
